| About | St Lawrence's Church is one of the oldest churches in Wycombe. The church is a Grade I listed building designed and constructed in medieval and neoclassical style architecture. Over the years, the church faced various renovations and expansions to accommodate the community's growing population. Even though the church was remodelled many times, the chancel and tower remain the same as built-in the 14th century. St Lawrence's Church is the local landmark, which the church's tower is visible for many miles around. The church has the most impressive painting on the chancel ceiling. The most prominent feature of this church is the large golden ball built by Dashwood atop the tower. St Lawrence's Church is the Grade I listed church that was gradually rebuilt in its current form by Sir Francis Dashwood, 1st Baronet and Baron Le Despenser. |
