| About | St Lawrence's Church is one of the oldest timber-framed churches in the community. The church was established in 1531, which means it has served the community as a place for worship for over five centuries. It is a Grade II listed building with stained glass windows from the 16th century. St Lawrence's Church stands in one of the few open green spaces in the urban environments of Denton. The church started its initial service as a chapel, and as the population started growing, it was expanded and uplifted to church status. Over the years, the church faced two to three times of restoration. They are a warm and welcoming, worshipping community that is culturally diverse and open to all who come. St Lawrence's Church is a beautiful historic building that has served the community with regular religious services. |
