| About | Salford Cathedral is one of the oldest Roman Catholic Cathedral churches in the community. It is a Grade II listed building designed with built-in neo-Gothic style architecture. Matthew Ellison Hadfield designed the cathedral church; the plan was confirmed, and the construction was completed in 1848. Salford Cathedral is the church of the 18th and early 19th centuries. The cathedral church has a welcoming, safe, and pleasant environment that attracts people from all over the world to attend prayers, events and celebrations. It has been recorded that the cathedral church has been a place of worship for over two centuries. The cathedral church had a two-manual Jardine pipe organ replaced with a four-manual digital organ in 2002. |
