| About | Christ Church is a 13th-century church building established to serve the local fisher residents in the North Shields. It is an Anglican church designated to serve the community people with regular worships, masses and other religious services. The church is a Grade II listed building designed in Georgian style architecture by the architect Robert Trollope. As the community's population started overgrowing, the church was expanded in the mid-17th-century to accommodate the growing population.
