| About | St Mary's Church is an active Roman Catholic parish church. It is a Grade II listed building that was designed in Gothic Revival style architecture by architect Pugin and Pugin. The church was planned and constructed between 1890 and 1891 with red sandstone dressings and slate roof. St Mary's Church is set in a warm and pleasant atmosphere which attracts people from all over the community to attend the worships, prayers and events. It's a beautiful church with the most stunning stained glass windows. At the café, you will enjoy the soup sandwich and homemade cakes on regular days on the first Friday of the month. St Mary's Church organ in the church was installed in 1897, which is still used by the choir during worships and other events. |
