| About | Bukit Batok WWII Memorial is a memorial spot loacted in Bukit Batok. It was built during the Japanese Occupation to honour dead soldiers of the Japanese and British forces. It was constructed to commemorate the war dead in the vicinity. The Japanese monument was a wooden mast 12 meters long, topped with a brass cone. Military and Japanese officials regularly worship the Japanese Emperor. At the memorial site, all that remains is a flight of steps leading to where the monuments once stood. Visitors can see the memorial along with the park around the memorial. The long flight of steps provide an excellent opportunity for a high intensity workout. |
