| About | Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple at 141 Serangoon Road is one of the oldest temples in Singapore. The temple was founded to cater to hundreds of Indians who had come to live in a foreign land. As the Indians in the area became more established, they were able to help newcomers to settle in the area, & so Serangoon Road began to flourish. The temple management workers maintained the temple and built the main hall and sanctuary; the temple holds the statues of all the major Hindu gods and an imported Kali statue from India. The temple offers day-to-day worship and regular religious functions. They also afford free food for devotees. |
