| About | Bengawan Solo is a well-known cake shop in Singapore. The shop aims to establish a uniquely Singaporean culinary experience and share its passion for lovingly prepared food without compromising quality principles. More than 40 years later, this same homemade quality is maintained as each confection is traditionally prepared, using only the finest and freshest ingredients with absolutely no artificial preservatives. Bengawan Solo was established in 1979 by Tjendri Anastasia, originally from Indonesia. She's always involved in Indonesian delicacies in the tiny home kitchen of her HDB apartment. Anastasia has constructed her first centralised kitchen on a 9500 square foot private property on Harvey Road in MacPherson. Her homemade specialities even made it on the shelves of some food stores and emporiums. Bengawan Solo presently has 38 retail outlets and more than 409 employees. |
