About	The Upvan Lake is an artificial and eco-friendly lake in Thane, Maharashtra, built-in 1880. It was built by Thane municipal corporation, and JK Singhania reconstructed it to supply water to the Raymond Factory. Upvan Lake is recognized as one of the country's most beautiful lakes, famously known for annually hosting the Sanskruti Arts Festival. It is an ideal setting for a family picnic or just a walk with your family and friends. Upvan Lake was once used as a primary water supply source. At present provides many activities, and it is mainly used for recreational purposes. Over 50,000 people visit the lake during the festival.
