| About | Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum is a three-storey building that houses roughly 20,000 objects belonging to different parts of the world. The museum was established in 1962 and has a collection of over 40 years. It also houses an incredible array of musical instruments, Mughal lamps, paintings and other antiques, such as Ramayana mythological epic paintings on the scenes. Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum's most attractive feature is the Mastnai Mahal replica, initially built-in 1734. The museum also exhibits ivory, silver and gold, war weapons and vessels. The quirky pan-Indian collection includes hundreds of hookah pipes, writing instruments and textiles. Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum also offers virtual tour. |
