| About | Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College is one of the premier medical colleges in Pune, Maharashtra. The college is formerly known as B.J. Medical College, which has a large state-run hospital in Pune. Byramjee Jeejeebhoy was founded the college in 1878. The college has clinical and para/pre-clinical departments and the Sassoon General Hospital. The hospital of college has a very long heritage. Mahatma Gandhiji was operated for acute appendicitis in this college, In 1924. They have over 260 teaching staff to teach the students. The medical college consistently listed among India's top ten medical colleges for several years. In addition, Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College admits 200 students to the undergraduate via NEET every year. |
