| About | Assam Engineering College (AEC) is the first Engineering College in north-eastern India, located in Guwahati, AS. The college is the premier technical institute of the country was inaugurated by Honourable Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1955. AEC has been the center of many academic and supplementary activities in Assam. The campus is the first undergraduate engineering college in northeast India, and today, it is one of the premier technical institutes in eastern India. The institute has eight hostels, each self-contained with amenities such as a common room, a library, a lounge, and a dining hall with a mess. The institute provides bus facilities for the students to connect to city life from college. In addition, the institute has a government post office on the campus maintained by Indian Post and offers indoor & outdoor medical facilities for common ailments. Moreover, there is also an ATM of SBI fixed within the campus for easy cash access for the students. |
