About	Bidhan Chandra College is a co-educational institute established in the year 1961. The college is affiliated to the University of Burdwan and approved by the University Grants Commission. At present, the college runs in three sections (morning, day and evening), offering various undergraduate courses (both honours and pass course) in the arts, science, and commerce streams. Bidhan Chandra College Library is an open-access library with approximately 23,000 books, including text and reference books. Their seminar library has been built up to provide easy access to students and faculty members. Their seminar hall has a seating arrangement for two hundred people and the provision for surround-sound and LCD projection. Bidhan Chandra College has decided to devise an official mechanism of addressing various on-campus problems of its male and female students.
