| About | National Gallery of Modern Art is a well known Art Gallery located in Delhi, DL, India, and it was designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield. The gallery was established in 1954 by the Government of India. It is the premier art gallery under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The art gallery boasts 12,000 square meters of exhibition space and a butterfly-shaped building with a central arch and three floors. In addition, there are many stone sculptures put in the gardens on the campus. This finest gallery has more than 14,000 pictures, paintings, statues of famous painters from ancient to modern like Nand Lal Bose, Amrita Shergill, Raja Ravi Varma, M F Hussain, and more. Tickets are available at a reasonable price. National Gallery of Modern Art helps people view modern works of art with greater joy, understanding and knowledge by extending their relationship to their daily lives and experiencing them as vital expressions of the human spirit. |
