About | Steveston Tram was built in 1912 which was used by the Richmond community until 1958. In 1913, BCER launched 28 tramcars bought from the Missouri St. Louis Car Company. The Interurbans were an essential and valued part of the city for the people who worked on them. Steveston Interurban Tram provides one of the region's most significant contemporary art galleries, the Richmond Art Gallery, the Gateway Theatre, and many interesting historical sites. Tramcar 1220 in the display is the largest artifact in the Richmond Museum Collection. It also offers residents and tourists a wide variety of cultural activities and opportunities. |
