About | Sharon Temple National Historic Site and Museum is an open museum located in Sharon. In the early days, it was a temple managed by the Sharon Temple Museum Society. In 1971, The temple underwent periodic restoration work. In 1990 it was announced as a national historic site. The site covers a 1.8-hectare site that features a historical building and 6,000 artifacts. The restored building on the site contains David Willson's Study. The Ontario Heritage Trust has granted a public easement to ensure that its protection meets conservation requirements. Sharon Temple National Historic Site is also used for weddings, rentals, and public events. There are several buildings you can walk through on a self-guided tour. |
