| About | Olde Gaol Museum is a historical place built-in 1863. The doors of the old Gaol reopened in 2011 as a museum devoted to interpreting cultural history. It shows the prison full of exciting tales and rare historical artifacts. The Victoria County Historical Society dates back to 1957 when people gathered, conserving, and sharing Lindsay's history and its neighbouring townships. It has a regional collection of artifacts and interpretive displays housed in a former penal institution. The VCHS presents and shares local experiences through its outreach programmes and how they interact with Canada's past. You can also enjoy the 3D virtual tour inside the museum.
