| About | Muskoka Heritage Place is a place to discover life in the 1800s with a year-round museum filled with over a hundred historical artefacts. It is a family attraction featuring a pioneer village with preserved buildings, a museum and a steam train. Visit May to October for the full pioneer experience with the Pioneer Village and Portage Flyer train in full swing. Tour the village with costumed interpreters' demonstrations and visit the farm animals and authentic buildings, including a one-room schoolhouse, general store, and blacksmith shop. Complete your trip with a ride to the Purser's Cabin on the historical Portage Flyer Train (diesel or steam depending upon the season) for a memorable day out with family or friends. |
