About | The Halifax Public Gardens is the only Victorian Garden in North America. It is maintained and supported by HRM. The Main Gates welcome visitors to the gardens stand 16 '(4.88 m) high and 21' (6.4 m) wide. Upper and Lower Bridges are constructed of concrete, with elaborate balustrades and concrete urns on the four corner pedestals. Halifax Public Gardens has more than 140 different species of trees, many of the centenarians. It is also the best choice location for wedding and graduation pictures. Carpet Beds are a feature of the Gardenesque design. Halifax Public Gardens offers free admission for all visitors. |
