About | Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre is a multi-purpose building situated at the intersection of Kingsway and Sperling in Burnaby, BC. It is opened on 22 September 2000. The Center is home to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, the Nikkei National Museum, the neighbourhood's civic center, and the Japanese Canadian Park. Its mission is to respect, conserve, share Japanese culture and Japanese Canadian history. Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre has more than 3000 photos, 350 oral history records, 25 meters of archival and textual content, and 1000 artifacts. They also do live performances, clothes, books and food for the festival. |
