During her clinical rotations at the Gouverneur Hospital in New York and the Wilmington Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Delaware, Dr. Chan established a strong foundation in medical optometry involving diagnosing and managing neuro-ocular disorders, retinal diseases, glaucoma & systemic conditions with ophthalmic complications. While skilled in giving clinical care to patients of all ages, Dr. Joanne Chan is interested in specialty contact lens fittings & myopia control (i.e. nearsightedness intervention) for children.
