About	Kawartha Youth Orchestra offers music lessons for all ages and abilities, from beginner to experienced musicians. Kawartha Youth Orchestra gives young musicians, ages 8-28, the opportunity to learn symphonic and world music and perform in an orchestral ensemble under the artistic direction of Dr. Alexander (Al) Cannon. The Senior orchestra is auditioned and for the experienced musician. The Intermediate orchestra is geared towards young musicians who can read music and have experience on their instruments. While the Junior orchestra is available to beginner musicians with limited or no musical experience. This wonderful organization will support your child as they grow from a musical novice to a confident young musician. KYO also provides opportunities for all its musicians to experience arts’ enrichment with professionals from various performing arts genres. For 19 years, they have supported the growth of young musicians in the Kawartha Region.
