| About | Craigdarroch Castle is a National Historic Site placed in the heart of Victoria and is open daily for tours. The Castle weaves an exciting tale of an intriguing family and their achievements, relationships, and even quirks. Operated by a non-profit charity, this meticulously restored architecture gives visitors a glimpse of privileged life in the1890's. It features beautiful woodwork, unique Victorian artifacts, and an exciting collection of original stained glass. Castle grounds today are approximately 1.75 acres, including this large south lawn. The Castle has since been used as a military hospital, Victoria College, the Victoria School Board, the Victoria Conservatory of Music and now is run as a historic house museum. The museum is also available for private functions and offers seasonal theatre presentations. |
