| About | 'Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site is a national historic site that features educational exhibits. It is an ideal place where visitors learn about the workings of the iron and steel industry. The place has lots of exciting things to explore, including the Grande Maison, the multi-media show, which adds significantly to the experience for the visitors. In the Grande Maison, visitors can admire the iron and cast iron pieces made at the Forges, then stop at the blast furnace to discover more about this community of artisans who, for 150 years, provided the objects necessary for the development of the colony and its defence.
