About | Northern Ontario Railroad Museum & Heritage Centre is an early 20th-century Victorian house that honours its railroad history. It is a marvellous spot to visit, and the staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the Center and its content and history. The museum's train collection includes four locomotives, mining & handcars and speeders. The Former Capreol fire hall, located one block east of the main site, is used to house and display the in-process restoration project of the town's first police vehicle purchase. It exhibits the town's social history and the surrounding area and annual exhibits involving different themes. Northern Ontario Railroad Museum & Heritage Centre even afford free admission to children Under the age of four. The heritage centre is 20.3 miles away from downtown Sudbury, ON. |
