About | Stratford City Hall is a monumental town hall constructed of red brick. The iconic building from the turn of the century features a clock tower and cupola. It is prominently located on a triangular-shaped civic 'square' that forms the centre of the business district in Stratford, Ontario. Its scenic design incorporates an eclectic blend of late-victorian features. It became constructed in the "Jacobean end" of the Queen Anne Revival style. The building exhibits an eclectic combination of features, including gables in the Flemish Renaissance style, a classical cupola, and panelled chimneys. Each block end has a dodecagonal base, the central portion a hexagon. |
