| About | Morningstar Mill is one of the famous industrial heritage sites operated in partnership with the Friends of Morningstar Mill. The site features a comprehensive range of functionalities such as a working grist mill built in 1872, a turbine shed, a sawmill, a blacksmith and a carpentry shop. The Mill provides a rare glimpse back in time to when moving water was used to grind grain into flour mechanically. It is constructed from locally quarried stone and has a two-break three reduction Greey Roller Mill system for making white flour. It is a well-known historic mill with beautiful waterfalls and trails around the mill to enjoy. The site offers a free tour option, which is used to learn about the St. Catharines, ON's history. Morningstar Mill is a great place to see a piece of Niagara history and explore nearby nature trails. |
