In 1997, Susan MacIntosh and her sister, Dawn MacFadden opened the shop on Granville Street, downtown Halifax, growing out of their Halifax Farmer's floral market business. Props Floral Design is well-known for its non-standard bouquets. They bring together the highest-quality flowers and plants, with elegant and flambouyant designs. They created a sensation with exclusive, innovative floral design and super fun events, such as Halifax Club Chic Night, lunch and learning, and a Global Television spot. They put together the flowers and plants of the highest quality, with elegant and flamboyant style, and social and environmental conscience. They strive always to have something made locally in the fridge. The shop has plenty of local (and organic) seasonal flowers.
