About	Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul church's first roots were planted through a petition. The church was built in St. Rose, but was not opened until St. Vincent de Paul finally addressed to the bishop. Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul is located on Jesus Island, which by 1743, Bishop Pontbriand founded the parish of the church. By 1744, the church was built at the hillside's foot and used for worship for over a hundred years. As St. Vincent de Paul grew, the small church no longer supported that many attendants. After years, by 1853, a convent and the Laval College were built. This church is mentioned to be one of the beautiful churches in Quebec. The walls of the long sections and the apse are in fieldstone, and the facade is in dressed stone. The building is overlooked by two proud and slender bell towers that can be seen in the distance. The interior in Romanesque style is large and spacious, and its columns present a pretty appearance.
