| About | Latitude 53 is one of the largest and oldest centres in the Canadian Prairies. It was founded in 1973 by Edmonton artists. Latitude 53 is an artist-centred organization that promotes artists, writers and curators who question, inform and inspire. It prides itself on the unique feature of advocating for the local art community and creating connections nationally and internationally. And it serves as an important centre for modern art in Northern Alberta. Latitude 53 occupies a 5,500 sq ft building in downtown Edmonton with over 2,600 sq ft of dedicated demonstration space, divided into three physically distinguished galleries. |
