About	Zigs Appliance Service is an appliance family since 1968. Zig started at the Inglis factory in 1968 on the production line. It only took a year before someone recognized his skill set for the repair side of the industry. Zig progressed quickly and became the head technician of the Barrie branch of what became Whirlpool within a few years. In 1985 some changes in the industry led to the independent service company representing the manufacturer, including the newly formed Zig's Appliance Service. As the lead service company for Whirlpool, it didn't take long for other companies to ask them to represent them, including Maytag and Frigidaire. They are one of the longest-running independent service companies for all of these manufacturers and still work with them today.
