About	Mount Archer National Park is an excellent national park in Central Queensland. It makes up the backdrop to the city of Rockhampton, which indicates the origin of Tropical Queensland. Mount Archer National Park is located between Rockhampton and the Central Queensland Coast of the Berserker Range. The highest peak and has spectacular views of the city and the surrounding ranges from its peak. It is 604 metres long, affording marvellous views from its peak over the surrounding fields and back to Rockhampton. Mount Archer National Park has 4250 hectares covered mostly eucalypt forest, with a big pocket of dry rainforest along Moores Creek’s deep valley. The vegetation is mostly open eucalypt woodland with patches of vine scrub. Come to the valley early in the morning or late in the day, and you stand a good chance of seeing rock-wallabies hopping to the creek to drink. Free entry, wheelchair-accessible toilets and picnic tables are available here.
