About	Casuarina Coastal Reserve is a protected area in the northern region of Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. It protects a large coastal area in Darwin's northern suburbs. The reserve covers nearly 1500 hectares of habitats between Rapid Creek and Buffalo Creek. Casuarina Coastal Reserve includes 8 kilometres of sandy beaches backed by Casuarina trees and sandstone cliffs. Visitors can enjoy a stroll on the beach or along the track to Sandfly Creek. Birdwatchers come to see ospreys, kites, red-tailed black-cockatoos, cormorants, and gulls along the dunes or soaring overhead. Barbecues, tables and shade make the area a familiar picnic spot, whilst walkers and cyclists utilise sealed ways and drinking water fountains.
