About	Christ Church Cathedral is one of the most spiritual churches in Darwin. The church was established in the late 1800s before serving in the town hall and the courthouse. A meeting was held amongst the residents of Palmerston to support the Anglican community. After some years, a committee was formed to purchase a block of land for the church. Christ Church Cathedral foundation stone was laid in 1902, and the construction took years to get completed. Over the years, the church faced many renovations and expansions until the late 1900s. The beautiful church welcomes people from all communities for prayer, masses and meditation sessions. Their every endeavour is made to make Christ Church a safe place for all, seeking to affirm one another’s dignity and value as those created in the image of God. Christ Church Cathedral shares their faith and the importance of humanity to all people regardless of marital or family status, orientation, ability or wealth.
