About	Happy Boy is Fortitude Valley’s cool, contemporary go-to for some of the best, most authentic Chinese food to be found in Brisbane. It is established in a light, airy industrial space in a jacaranda-lined side street. Cameron and Jordan Votan are the owners of the restaurant. Happy Boy focuses on truly authentic, provincial Chinese cuisine in a direct shift to move away from the westernised notion of Chinese and Pan-Asian restaurant dining. They are fully licensed and specialise in boutique Australian wine. There is an extensive, well-curated wine menu, with five house wines available by the glass and beers. Happy Boy is open six days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a rare Chinese eatery where you can get a well-brewed coffee. Many of the dishes are available as gluten-free on request. Happy Boy has a special menu that includes Chinese BBQ roast pork belly or duck, Crispy Skin Chicken (Hainan or Canton style) with steamed rice, house or vegetarian fried rice, and sides.
