| About | Dr. Richard Clugston is an interventional cardiologist.who obtained his medical education from the University of Western Australia, Australia, in 1981. He has particular expertise in the management of acute myocardial infarction using direct angioplasty. Dr. Richard's main interests are coronary angiography, angioplasty and stenting in stable angina and acute coronary syndromes. He was instrumental in setting up Australia's first acute infarct angioplasty service. His other area of interest is structural heart disease, which includes the closure of patent foramen ovale, atrial septal defects, and percutaneous left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion. Dr. Richard works at both Cardio Vascular Services (CVS) at Hollywood Hospital and in East Fremantle.His service is also available at Fiona Stanley Hospital. |
